spring wreath

I made this back in late March. I was wanting to do something with yarn after seeing all the yarn bombing projects on pinterest. I took a foam wreath and simply wrapped a few colors of yarn around. I used the Don Juan cartridge and Jasmine. Might have used another one or two but can't remember at moment. I added a few pieces of bling and called it a day. I still have it hanging but plan to make some summer things for it but I love the colors so I'm going to keep the colors the same. I love bright colors and works great for spring and summer.

Challenge’s I want to enter

I wanted to link up a some of the challenges that I want to enter in the next few days. http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2012/05/may-24-2012thursday-dlart-thankful.html
this one is anything goes so I'm thinking I'm going to knock out my fathers day cards and a thank you card so I'll use my favorite from those to enter in this challenge. The next challenge is on getting cricky blog which is one of my fave blogs! She loves owls and SO DO I! I am putting some money back for my craft stash to buy some of her stamps soon. The theme for this challenge is summertime. http://www.gettingcricky.com/2012/06/simply-sunday-challenge-summertime.html and not to take on to much but I also want to enter http://decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com/2012/05/challenge-26-beach-party.html. The last is also a summer theme but they don't want cards or layouts more decorations you can use so I'm not sure what I'm going to do for that one but have to hurry cause the dead line for this is the 12th. Can't wait to get started so I think I'll work posting my old projects for my blog later and get started on these new ones! Can't wait till I can say "thanks for stopping by, leave a comment!" (hopefully soon I'll have readers =)

Don Juan/christmas ornaments

I made these ornaments last Christmas and loved doing it. It was one of the first things I made with my cricut that I was able to make for other people and sell a few! I seen other blogs where people used many different products to get the glitter to stay in the ornament. Something you should know about me is I am very cheap lol but when it comes to being crafty my husband is the cheap one ha ha. So instead of buying something to get the glitter to stay in the balls I used $1 hairspray. I put it in, swished  around and dumped the rest back in the bottle. 6 months later the glitter is still there and I think they turned out really good! I used the Don Juan cartridge for the font. So far it is my favorite font that I have. I will definitely be doing this project again this coming up Christmas. I have a lot of other colors and pics but since this is the second time posting anything on this blog not really sure what I am doing!

first post/first blog

I want a place where I can link up to all the challenges I have wanted to enter. I think it will be a great way for me to stay motivated and focused on one project at a time. I have a problem with getting to many ideas in mind and end up with little to show for it. Lets start of with me saying I am an addict. To many things; Pinterst, facebook, craft blogs, anything diy, my cricut, and reality shows! Probably leaving out a few of my addictions but I hope to be blogging long enough to show all of my addictions! I hope to have some followers one day and until that happens I will keep doing it and crafting away! thanks for stopping by!
